OUR FULL PANTO CAST HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!

OUR FULL PANTO CAST HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED!
posted 30 Jun 2025

Want to know who's going to be in our magical family panto, Aladdin? Your wish is our command!

PHA Associates in association with the Palace Theatre, Redditch are delighted to announce the full panto line-up for our magical family panto, Aladdin!

We are delighted to announce that Coronation Street and Emmerdale Star, Bill Ward will be playing our panto villain Abanazar. Bill has been nominated and won numerous soap awards and has great experience in playing panto villains as he comes to the Palace off the back of a successful panto run in Bridlington, where he played the Giant's henchman, Fleshcreep.

Starring alongside Bill will be Children's TV Legend Dave Benson Phillips as The Emperor. Dave has been at the heart of family entertainment for well over 35 years and has become one of the most popular faces on the small screen during that time. We cannot wait to welcome him back to the Palace this year!

BGT Star and Comedy Impressionist, Tony Rudd will be taking on the role of comic as the loveable, but utterly hopeless, Wishee Washee. Revered for his madcap impressions, Tony has over 20 years of show business to his credit and has even performed his comedy set at the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, The London Palladium, The Eventim Apollo and the O2 in London.

Experienced Panto Dame, Simon Bashford will be celebrating his 40th year in panto by treading the boards at the Palace for the very first time as our Widow Twankey. Coming with a selection of his own spectacular costumes, we can't wait to see him try and keep his unruly sons, Aladdin and Wishee Washee out of trouble and keep the laundry's washing unshrunk and smelling sweet!

We'll also be extending a warm welcome to Indiya Payne as she joins us as our Spirit of the Ring, Laura-Dene Perryman who will be our beautiful Princess, and Niall Gray who will be performing as our eponymous hero, Aladdin!
